The early years
I grew up in the green hills of Northern Vermont, where I was fortunate to get to play outside, horseback ride, swim, do yoga, and dance. One of my earliest memories is from age five, when I realized my grandmother, a former modern dancer, woke up early every morning to meditate and do her exercises. I would try to follow along with my grandmother’s exercise routine. It astonished me even then, that she could touch her toes so easily!
Watching my grandmother continue her daily exercises, walks, and meditation into her 90s had a large impact on my appreciation for the power of exercise and a healthy lifestyle as part of a meaningful and enjoyable life.
Dancing with Isadora Duncan
I danced professionally with Lori Belilove’s Isadora Duncan Dance Company, performing and teaching in New York City, as well as on national and international tours.
Becoming a fitness professional
While I was dancing in New York City, it was a natural next step to deepen my knowledge of the body by becoming a certified personal trainer with specialty trainings in Senior Exercise, Orthopedic Exercise, Prenatal & Postnatal Exercise, Pilates, Yoga , and Diastasis Recti.
Combining my early knowledge of exercise with a dance career and extensive fitness certifications I came to specialize in working with women. My emphasis for both myself and my clients is to find the exercise and lifestyle routine that will support you in doing what you love with your life.
The exercise programs I create help my clients to live vibrant rich lives. The goal is to feel confident and beautiful by reducing daily aches and pains, improve range of motion, posture, balance, and increase energy.
